The Biblioblog Reference Library Terms of Service
1. What's assumed.
1.1 When you use this site, you accept these Terms of Service as legally binding.
1.2 You'll allow us to use and re-hash any information or content you submit to the site or post on your blog(s).
1.2.1 This would be under a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license.
1.2.2 Our primary goal in holding such a license is to permanently archive your content and promote Biblical Studies as a field.
1.3 THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITH NO WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
1.4 YOU EXPRESSLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT YOU WILL HOLD US LIABLE FOR NOTHING UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES WHATSOEVER AT ANY POINT IN TIME, WITHOUT EXCEPTION.

2. What we collect.
2.1 We currently collect four types of information.
2.1.1 Information submitted directly to the site including email addresses, names, physical addresses, and personal site preferences. (We refer to this as "Personal Information".)
2.1.2 Blog feed data which includes RSS/Atom/other feed information, public author profile and identity information, comments, blog profile information, blog post content, and other publicly syndicated metadata.
2.1.3 Blog archive data, which includes multiple, periodical "snapshots" of the html from blog pages syndicated through the blog feed data.
2.1.4 Blog tracker data, which includes basic browser information, timestamps, and urls of blogs visited (but no personally identifiable information).
2.2 We use Google Analytics tools to track visitors to the Library. More information about what they do can be found at http://www.google.com/analytics/.
3. What we do with it.
3.1 Personal Information is private and never disclosed to third parties unless either:
3.1.1 It is required explicitly by law.
3.1.2 You have opted to share it on your public profile.
3.2 Blog feed and archive data is archived in our database, and indexed for search. The archives and excerpts of current content are made publically available with linkbacks to the original content.
3.2.1 On all Library-hosted pages we may opt to display social media hooks (such as Facebook "like" buttons), featured article and sites (such as Biblioblog Carnivals or other related projects), or vetted biblioblogging-related advertising alongside the excerpts.
3.3 Blog tracker data is used to construct the Top 50 and Top 10 lists, as well as track blogging trends. The raw hit data is not available to the public, nor will it be shared with third parties.
3.5 All data may be used for new, unexpected purposes in line with archiving the content and promoting Biblical Studies as a field.
